Nangapè, the title track on Yaya Diallo's album was first published in 1980 on vinyl and later reissued on CD in 2002. Uniting traditional African and occidental instruments, Nangapè has remained avant-garde decades after being released. This debut album played a pivitol role in Yaya Diallo's pursuit to revivify the music and traditions of his cultural heritage.
