We're Matt + Nat, two big Geeks who happen to be lucky enough to get some sweet geeky content that's worth sharing. From Previewing and Reviewing upcoming "Geek Movies" with in-depth interviews and advanced clips, to our favourite show "Battlestar Galactica" and our BSGcast! That's why we also make the internet's only video BSG podcast designed to help everyone digest the episode of the week, and also be a forum for the BSG community to dish on theories and interact with each other! And it's all in here at YourGeekNews.com
We did this for Nat's project, Your Greek News, but being an interview with a Star Trek bombshell, it's pre-qualified Geek-programming. Hope you get a kick out of it! By the way, we're going to start merging the BSGcast and YourGeekNews.com feeds. You might not notice, but if you start getting redirected to 'BSGcast' related content, there's the reason :) Thanks guys! ~Matt + Nat
Alrighty fellow geeks... if you're an FF fan your nose might still be out of joint form the first movie in 2005, but this one isn't as bad. That's not saying much, but hopefully our review sheds some light on what to expect from this not-so-fantastic film. ~Matt + Nat
Alright boys and girls… we just saw the midnight showing of Spiderman 3 and man, is there a lot to say about this movie… mostly because there is about enough story going on in it to make up two or three movies, but somehow Sam Raimi manages to jam it all into one. How successfully? Well, our review is a bit mixed, but if you disagree with us, and even if you don't, visit YourGeekNews.com and take us to task! ~Matt + Nat
Needless to say, THIS is the start of the summer blockbuster season. Between the conclusion of the Green Goblin storyline, the introduction of Gwen Stacy to the otherwise happy couple of Peter and MJ, and of course, the Venom twist, it looks like Sam Raimi has one huge ride in store for us on May 4. We hop you enjoy our Preview of Spiderman 3, we’ve got all sorts of scenes to share with you, including the birth of Venom in the bell tower, and an absolutely delicious love-triangle scene. Stay T...
After the success of “Shaun of the Dead”, Edgar Wright and Simon Penn have earned a reputation for being the definitive Hollywood genre-busters. To follow up their homage/send-up of Zombie films, “Hot Fuzz” takes the Bruckheimer Cop-flick and dismantles it like you can’t even imagine. We got to catch the Premiere of it here, and it was all colours of hilarious, so get ready for a treat in store for you on 04/20. In the meantime, you can catch some exclusive clips and interviews right here.
Matt + Nat have seen the Grindhouse, and there is a lot to say... not one but two films, a handful of funky fake-trailers and more Zombies and Bad-ass Chicks than you can shake a stick at. Hope you enjoy it! ~Matt + Nat
This is the mother of all Geeky tag-teams… these two got to work together a little on Sin City, and it seems that Grindhouse is the next logical step: Tarantino and Rodriguez joining forces to make a modern exploitation film of the highest order. With a cast consisting of Kurt Russell, Bruce Willis, Nicolas Cage, Rosario Dawson, Rose McGowan, Naveen Andrews and Freddy Rodriguez, this is a big big big B-movie. Rob Zombie, Edgar Wright, and Eli Roth are helping round out the Grindhouse feel by p...
This movie seems to have it all: from a dream cast of genre stars, to a director with a vision of a moving comicbook, to the Raphael vs. Leonardo showdown that Turtles fans have been speculating on and betting over for almost 15 years! All signs point to this being a big win for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and we’ve got some interviews with the cast, as well as the director, and more exclusive scenes and clips than you can shake a stick at! So sit back, relax and watch four little green ...
Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo and Raphael are back in a brand new all-CGI adventure acting as a sequel to the first and second movies (ignoring the largely unappreciated third… sound familiar, Superman III & IV?), and Director Kevin Munroe has brought together all manner of genre superstars including Buffy the Vampire Slayer’s Sarah Michelle Gellar, The Matrix’s Laurence Fishburne and Star Trek the Next Generation’s Patrick Stewart as well as the legendary Mako to voice the Teenage Mutant ...
