Even the white so-called progressive media has a tendency to ignore the voices and perspectives of people of color during these kinds of events---we did not. We are not them. We are Your World News.

On September 24th 2011 a special rally was held at the Nyumburu Amphitheater for support the October 2011 “Stop the Machine” movement. This rally featured Dr. Margaret Flowers, Kevin Zesse, and Revolutionary Hip Hop group, The Coup!!! On October 16, 2011 a rally was organized by Students Against Mass Incarceration on the campus of Howard University to protest the proposed execution of Troy Davis in Georgia. Your Word News was out there to show our support with other justice oriented comrades!
Community members got together to raise the level of consciousness regarding the American Social Disease of Police Brutality

UMD workers (Facilities, custodial staff, grounds keepers, etc) have been routinely treated with disrespect, verbal abuse---all the while being paid-un-livable wages.They let their voices be heard on April 13th at a Rally on the campus of the University of Maryland!
