Ylotana The Music and Mission The Ylotana music groups mission is to blend contemporary entertainment elements in a way that is both fun and spiritually uplifting. This goal is met by a talented mixture of instrumentalists, journalists, DJs, engineers and contemporary visual artists who strive to accomplish this very goal. The combination of so many different disciplines could appear to be overwhelming but musician and founder Anatoly Podkopov manages to orchestrate the project in a way that is very cohesive. The instrumental arrangements, which are created in Ylotanas Moscow or London studios, unite organic live instruments with digital sounds and lush chord progressions. This music supplements the other artistic aspects, marrying melody with graphic art and literature. Ylotanas Five Projects Ylotanas primary focus is on the five projects that share a sharp sense of morality but focus on different aspects of human nature. Each project is headlined by each tale and helps to complete Ylotanas mission of giving the public something fun as well as spiritually enlightening to gravitate towards. The five primary tales of the Ylotana project are I AM YOU, Micro MIR, DANCE FOR THE SNOW QUEEN, MY LITTLE GOD and PANIC IN PARADISE respectively. The stories delve in myths to highlight certain ideals and concepts that are designed to make the reader think. The art loving public will find within these completed projects Ylotanas multicultural elements as each of these stories are matched with music and artwork that reflects the artists heritage and particular outlook. The aim is to reflect a unique blend or worldviews via the creative outlet provided by Ylotana. Ylotanas Primary Goal Multimedia projects are few and far between which is perhaps why Anatoly decided to try his hand at something as grand in scope as Ylotana. With Ylotana, the mixture works well and is easily digested despite the numerous concentrations per each project. This helps the group facilitate their primary goal, which is to make the project fun and enjoyable as well as educational. Ylotana is also delivering a new idea to the masses—that art doesnt have to exist outside of itself—that all disciplines can merge into a happy whole. With this agenda in mind, Ylotana tries to be mainstream accessible while also being perceptively different and unique. A visit to Ylotana main website will give you a greater idea of what this band has to offer. Their blog page also boasts insightful articles that may be well worth a read as well.
