Sentencing guidelines departed againMonday, Aug. 4, 2008Again, one Shawnee County judge takes the sentencing guidelines for sex crimes and gives a downward sentence. He gave a man three years of probation for a conviction that would legally warrant almost five years in prison, according to state guidelines. A new state law was supposed to keep that from happening. 49 News Reporter Jessica Drew explains how it did happen, and what the FBI says has to be done.
