2009 Lilac Festival Parade - Sacawajea Middle Sc...

The Sacawajea Middle School took the grand champion award in the Junior Lilac Festival Parade the week before - and went on to march in the 2009 Lilac Festival and Armed Forces Day Parade in Spokane, WA, the largest evening Armed Forces Day Parade in the U.S. with 206 total units this year, and about 50 marching bands. Great job Sacawajea!

With over 200 parade units and about 50 bands, this is the largest evening Armed Forces Day Parade in the U.S. and the largest parade of all types in the Northwest.
