January 25, 2012. Our top story: Joe Paterno is dead. One talking head said that his coaching career was cut short due to the horrific Sandusky child-rape scandal. Cut Short!?!?! He coached for 700 zillion years! He was so old he farted dust! He was so old, he owed Fred Flintstone a food stamp. So old, he has a picture of Moses in his high school year book. And yet, not old enough to know that “I did the least I could do” isn’t an adequate response to child rape....The President is inches away from signing off on a deal with the banks that crashed the economy. The deal will let them off the hook with a slap on the wrist, and a penalty that doesn’t even come close to making victims of mortgage fraud whole again. Worst of all, Obama would grant the banks civil immunity any role in foreclosure fraud, and there would be no investigations. But there is still time to call the White House at 202-456-1111 and tell the President “no deal”. it won’t have any impact... but your fingers could use the exercise.Scrapple TV is written by:Jonathan ValaniaBrendan SkwireScott Colan Less
