Cool Winchester hosedt a leadership event on Wednesday, Oct. 14, from 7-9 p.m., in the Winchester Town Hall Auditorium. Guest speakers for the evening were Rep. Jason Lewis and Town Selectman Tom Howley. The event was co-hosted by Sustainable Winchester and the town of Winchester Cool Winchester wants all of the town’s “civic groups, faith-based groups, businesses, government agencies, condo/neighborhood associations, and concerned citizens ready to lead” to join. According to a press release from the organization, the evening of discussion helped these groups contribute toward the following goals: * Building community in your organization and across Winchester? * Helping members / residents save money in these tough economic times? * Reducing our town's environmental footprint? * Leaving a healthier planet to our children and grandchildren?
