Rodney Applegate has returned to northern India twenty times since his first visit ten years ago. With his friend Lama Tashi Bapu, a Tibetan monk whom he met in 2001, Applegate has worked to improve sanitation and health education in Arunachal Pradesh, a remote state in northeastern India that borders China, Burma, and Bhutan.
