Wakeup Starlight releases the controversial “Making Poison” to Christian rock radio. Suicide is a topic that frightens all of us at the best of times. Nevertheless, it is something that, at some point in their lives, even the most devoted followers of Christ can struggle with. Caleb Cummings and Chris Noble penned the song during a period of immense grief and depression. It is meant to be a metaphorical back and forth between the sufferer and God. A person lost in His/Her misery, crying out to the All Mighty for hope. Resounding Records knows that this release will be controversial, and perhaps outright rejected for it’s content. We do, however, stand by Wakeup Starlight and the importance of bringing issues like these to the public discourse. Especially the Church.
