Veteran Titus was drafted in October of 1942 and served in the Army Air Corp. He was stationed in Marfat (sp) Texas and after two years decided not to apply for officer candidate school because he thought he had it nice & safe, until the Battle of the Bulge. Don was home on furlough when the call came for immediate return and off he went to Camp Livingston LA for 6 weeks of traing and was put into the 2nd Armor Division, Ordnance. He went to Berlin for the Pottsdam Conference and was astonished at the total devastation of the city . It is one of his strongest memories. Thank you for your service Don.
