Over two dozen bull riders entered in the 2 day event and you'll see the wild western action here.Codrick Murphy from Cypress, Texas won the event at the Saturday night performance with a winning 76 point ride. Beau Shroeder placed 2nd scoring 70 pts and Mark Johnson from Willis, Texas placed 3rd with a 67 points.Many of these bull riders and rodeo cowboys at this Cowboys Professional Rodeo Association sanctioned rodeo have their sights set in the future for the major league of the Professional Bull Riders Association where top rank cowboys vie for millions of dollars in prize money.You have to start somewhere though and you just don't jump into professional big leagues of bull riding immediately winning big bucks. Here at the local rodeos such as in Baytown, Texas the cowboys are paying their dues perfecting the basic fundamentals of timing, balance, and stamina.Stock contractors such as Flying J Rodeo Company out of Hampshire, Texas and the M- M Rodeo Company provided excellent bucking stock for the event. For example the rodeo fans got to see the Hall of Fame CPRA Finals bull "Fred" from the M-M string. A sure ride to the pay window for the cowboy who stays onboard him.
