Concurrently with the Sao Paulo Biennial, the Inhotim Institute of Contemporary Art and Botanical Carden opened new art pavilioins. More than twenty contemporary art pavilions that show works by Matthew Barney, Doug Aitken and other international contemporary artists are now installed in the vast art park in southeast Brazil that was founded by the mining billionaire Bernardo Paz. Among the presented artists is now also the established Brazilian artist Tunga. Six major installations that Paz acquired are on display.
