Edwin's Gallery from Jakarta, Indonesia set up an exhibition of Indonesian Kinetic Art at Singapore's international art fair Art Stage Singapore. Titled Mechan(aesthete)ics, the show presents kinetic work by Hardisman Radjab, Rudi Hendriatno, Bagus Pandega, and Heri Dono. While Dono and Radjab are pioneers of kinetic art in Indonesia, Hendriatno and Pandega represent the new generation of artists who create kinetic art. In this video, the founder of the gallery, Edwin Rahardjo talks about the concept of the exhibition, the artists, and kinetic art in Indonesia.
