Last and Curious! - June 26, 2012

What mainstream media fails to realize is that the reason so many people are turning to the internet for their news and entertainment is because of the inane, politically correct drivel they have been recycling for years. So if people want vapid editorializing and humorless, agenda driven perspectives, they can either turn on cable or network news, or pretend it's 1970 and read the newspaper. Or... as more and more folks are doing each week.... they can watch www.unlearn.tv ....the most astute, best produced program on the web. And rumor has it that we're mildly entertaining as well.... Among the items --other than Jerry Sandusky-- we'll be discussing this week are: Environmental activists and tie die t-shirt manufacturers across the nation are outraged over statements made by renowned climate scientist Dr. James Lovelock. The man who has been referred to as "the Godfather" of the global warming movement has confirmed what Cigars & Scotch and I have been saying for years... that Al Gore is an inconvenient douche. Also! ... In what many are calling a reaffirmation of the First Amendment, the FCC suffered a defeat this past week when the Supreme Court tossed out their case against FOX and ABC in what we like to refer to as "Dumper-Gate". The 10 year old complaint over carnal exposure was resolved when all parties involved agreed to never show Rosie O'Donnell's ass on TV..... Ever. ... And!... Attorney General Eric Holder has been channeling his inner Vin Diesel this week after being found in contempt of Congress, which, to be honest, is how everyone else in the country feels about our house of wayward representative. But still... who would have thought that Agents working for the ATF selling guns to Mexican drug lords would result in violence? Drug Cartels are usually such pacifists, right? All this plus! ...
