The objective of the Reynolds Historical Lecture Series is to review, assess, and discuss various historical aspects of the health care sciences. This lecture, titled "Maturation of a Specialty: The Evolution of Vascular Surgery at the University of Alabama at Birmingham," by Michael C. Trotter, MD, FACS, Delta Regional Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery, Greenville, MS, was held on October 14, 2010 at 12:00 noon.
