Twin Cities Streets for People is a new citizen advocacy and education organization working on improving pedestrian, bicycle and transit mobility options for people in the Twin Cities.We are a daily news source, online community and political mobilizer for the Active Living and Livable Streets movement in our region. We are part of a growing coalition of individuals and organizations in cities around the world working to transform them by improving conditions for pedestrians, cyclists and transit riders.We focus our efforts on information sharing, catalyzing community learning opportunities, and envisioning alternative mobility framework choices that can lead our region to a more sustainable and humane future.We use our energy, talents and resources to engage citizens, advocates and elected officials in working towards a more sustainable, healthy and accessible Twin Cities region. Friday November 14 was the official unveiling of "Cyclopath Geowiki," a new wiki-based online bicycle route mapping tool that promises to make it more convenient to plan your next bike trip. U of M researchers Reid Priedhorsky and Loren Terveen introduced the Cyclowiki to a group of public agency staff, planners, local consultants and advocates, giving a thorough overview of the tool's exisiting capabilities and function and of potential improvements and features for future releases.
