Hello and welcome to the show! My name is Ruben Austria, Founder of Triumph Triathlon, "An Inspired Community of Triathletes Inspiring Others". Quote of the Week: ?Invest in yourself, in your education. There?s nothing better? (Sylvia Porter, was an American economist and journalist. At the height of her career, her readership was greater than 40 million people, more at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sylvia_Porter) This week's quote, ?Invest in yourself, in your education. There?s nothing better?. This quote is very fitting for this week's show because we'll be talking all about investment. TriumphTriathlon.com is getting better everyday, but it's the new Golf? Triathlon is nothing like golf you say?? We'll have to talk about this. Triumph Triathletes share the wealth all the time on the TriumphTriathlon.com community, but one triathlete sharing her wealth of knowledge locally. ---------------------------------------------------------- 1) Invest in Your Health When it comes to investing, there are only 2 resources we can possibly use to invest in anything, our time and our money. Investment of time - Soon after graduating college as a computer engineer, I got a job as "Product Engineer" working for a company based out of Europe..... Investment of money - Many people know how to invest in themselves financially.... e.g My other full time job is working with savvy investors who are interested in the real estate business. Many of the same people who invested their time for many years now want to invest their money to make even more money... Funny thing is, both of lead to investing in your financial future!!!! BUT WHEN DOES IT EVER END??? So how about investing in your health? 2) Triathlon is the New Golf "People talk of [triathlon] as the new golf." Nick Rusling, managing director IMG Challenger World, on triathlon's rising cachet in the business world. Check out the funny article written on ESPN.com - http://espn.go.com/espnw/blog/_/post/6009043/seven-reasons-triathlons-not-golfers 3) Triathlete Sharing the Wealth This week's Triathlete of the Week is Chrissy Carroll. Chrissy belongs to the local Triumph Triathlon in Boston group. Chrissy is also a licensed dietician and physical therapist. Not only does Chrissy dig into her wealth of information about health and nutrition to help her own triathlon training needs, she has given presentations to our triathlon group to help our nutrition. Talk about sharing the wealth huh? I actually had the pleasure of interviewing Chrissy and you can find that interview at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wLYX93SsZIo FINISH LINE: 1) Thanks Again to Our Sponsor: This week's show is made possible by the Multisport World, Conference and Expo.Multisport World is the largest pre-season multisport event series on the east coast and in 2011 will draw 4,500+ multisport athletes, and on March 19th in Cambridge, MA, Triumph Triathlon will represent at the Boston expo!.
