Part Two of "Europe’s Russia Challenge: Is a values-based relationship out of reach?" a panel discussion held on 25 November 2008 and organized by Transitions Online (www.tol.org), a Prague-based Internet magazine and media development organization. This part of the panel considered the state of the media in Russia and featured the following speakers: Nikolay Donskov, head of the northwest Russia bureau of Novaya Gazeta, Christopher Walker, director of studies at Freedom House, and Galina Stolyarova, a reporter for the St. Petersburg Times and a Transitions Online columnist. This event was made possible through the support of the National Endowment for Democracy.
