Part One of "Europe’s Russia Challenge: Is a values-based relationship out of reach?" a panel discussion held on 25 November 2008 and organized by Transitions Online (www.tol.org), a Prague-based Internet magazine and media development organization. This part of the panel considered relations between Russia and the EU and featured the following speakers: Robert Cottrell, the former Central and Eastern Europe correspondent for The Economist, Irina Lagunina, a broadcaster for the Russian Service of Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, and Edward Steen, the editorial page editor of The European Voice.
