Wade Franklyn was one of three T&T coaches who attended the third World Javelin Conference in Kourtane, Finland from November 7-9. Joyce Thomas and John Andalcio were the other two. Franklyn shares on his experience at the Conference.
The Second leg of the 2012 NAAA Cross Country series took place at Mt. Irvine, Tobago on Sun 10 November. Samuel Toney won the Boys under 15 2k while Afiya James took the Girls 4K race. Kenneil Billy and Shianne Thomas captured the Boys and Girls Under 20 race while Mark London won his fourth straight Men's Open (6K) title. All the winners are members of the Zenith Athletic Club.

Jehue Gordon lost his 2012 400m hurdles season opener, taking second place behind Eric Alejandro of Puerto Rico at the Falcon Games (50.79 to 51.13) on Saturday. Gordon said training is going well.

Jason Young of University of the West Indies (UWI) won the men’s 100m final in a personal best 10.29 seconds on FRiday's opening day of the VMBS Intercol Champs held at the Usain Bolt track, UWI, Mona. Romone Nichol of UTech was second in 10.42, the same time as third place finisher Jermaine Hamilton of GC Foster College.
Carrie Russell wins Intercol 100m title day one of the 57th VMBS Intercol Track & field Championships on at the Usain Bolt track, UWI, Mona. Russell ran 11.35 to take the women's 100m ahead of her University of Technology (UTech) teammate Cardine Copeland (11.80) and GC Foster College's Yanique Ellington (11.87).
