After we cancelled the December 28th taping of The Chris Gethard Show, Rob "The Greatest Dancer in the World" Malone and Keith "Banana Man" Haskel approached the TCGS team to see if they could produce an hour long Holiday Special to broadcast instead of airing a re-run. We agreed to let them film their hour-long special as long as they shot, produced, planned, and edited the entire episode themselves and allowed the rest of the team to take the week off and relax. They would have no creative oversight from the TCGS staff and if they accepted, they would have to be responsible for the entire hour. They Accepted. This is that Holiday Special.
