One of my first instructors asked our clas "What's the best block?" There was much confusion as several contradictory answers were postulated. The instructor, by then chuckling, answered his own question, "The one that works!"The haymaker - basicaly a wild over-muscled hook punch - is a huge inconvenience when aimed at your head. Geting anything else besides your head in the way of that punch is highly recomended. Avoiding the situation altogether is even beter. Live long and prosper! Less
