Minnesota State Rep. Tom Hackbarth (R-Cedar) wants to put a constitutional amendment on the ballot that would create a "racino" at Canterbury Park. The money from the racino would be used to pay for a new Vikings stadium. Rep. Hackbarth says he has not talked to the Vikings about his plan. He has also not talked to Governor Tim Pawlenty about the proposal. Last week Pawlenty indicated he would support a new Vikings stadium.
