Governor Tim Pawlenty: "I think I made it clear Tom, that I think the public option as it relates to the Federal health care reform is a bad idea. I think it sends the health care market in a direction that will not be helpful in the intermediate and long term. And so I don't like it." He was then asked about "Opting out" of the public option as proposed in a bill in the US Senate. "Well, we'll cross that bridge when we come to it, but if it is up to me, and it's presented as they've been debating it in Washington, DC, I think it is a bad idea and I don't think we should participate."**http://the-uptake.groups.theuptake.org/en/videogalleryView/id/2520/ Less
