The Seed Network is a grassroots collective of individuals trying to get people thinking more holistically about what the issues and existence of people trafficking and prostitution in our geographical communities. The Seed Network is based and focuses on the community of Bournemouth and Poole in the UK.
Heidi works with a Bournemouth based group known as the life angels. The Life Angels are part a group who regularly visit brothels in the area and minister to working girls, Heidi herself used to be a working girl and shares her thoughts on the topic.
Guy Shimmons works for Dorset Police and is in charge of handling human trafficking in the area. We managed to get an interview with him on the nature of human trafficking in Bournemouth, the extent, the source and problems in dealing with the issue.
We caught up with Helen Kanolik from the Purple Teardrop Campaign. The Purple Teardrop is campaign set up by Bournemouth Soroptomists.
