The Schenectady Unitarian Society's Social Action Council produced this digital story with a local Iraqi refugee who chose to remain anonymous, documenting local antiwar and refugee resettlement efforts and how this refugee came to be in Albany. Produced as part of The Sanctuary for Independent Media's "Be The Media" digital storytelling workshop, with support from Nicole Belanger and funded in part by the New York State Council on the Arts. To get involved with local refugee resettlement efforts, check out these web sites: Iraqi Refugee Project Coalition, Women Against War, Diocese of Albany Catholic Charities, and Albany Chapter of the US Committee for Refugees and Immigrants.
