The girls run around collecting Easter eggs on a beautiful Sunday afternoon.
I've always wanted to experiment with making a cooking video, so I used St. Patrick's Day as an excuse to show you how to make Irish Soda Bread.
My daughter and I are back in the kitchen making her new favorite dessert - chocolate lava cakes! We intended to make this for the Vimeo Weekend Cooking Project, but there was just too much good stuff in there to edit it down to the required 1-3 minutes.
My girls LOVE Christmas, and there's nothing better than spending it with family.
Here's a little video from what hopefully has become our annual visit to my family's house on Lake Erie. We love it up there on the Lake - always a great time, and it give the cousins from CT and Las Vegas a chance to hang out. It's where we took our annual vacation as children - now we're bringing our own children!
We were fortunate enough to get 4 free tickets to Six Flags and managed to squeeze a visit in just before school started. The park was a nice upgrade from our annual trip to Lake Compounce.
We took an inpromptu trip to Springfield, MA and visited several museums situated around a Dr. Seuss sculpture garden. It was great - pay one price for all of them and they're all within walking distance. Highly recommended.
My mother-in-law and I spent half a day at Take the Cake - a great little bakery in Guilford, CT. This was a silent auction prize my wife won for me at last year's Taste of the Nation. We both had a great time - the staff was great to work with. Oh..., and you're all invited to my house for dessert. :-)
As part of her 8th birthday, my daughter and a friend went to the mall to get their ears pierced. She did awesome! Nervous, at first, but wait 'till you see the smile when she looks in the mirror.
School starts on Monday, so we had our last hurrah of the summer on the waterslide to cap off a great season.
