The Melting Pot Cooks is a Latin-inspired cooking show hosted by Rosa Menard and Alicia Reina, which showcases easy-to-prepare dishes from all over the world. Recorded on location in Rosa's kitchen, these two good friends blend food and fun in every show. They emphasize their Latin-American culinary roots by introducing tropical twists to traditional dishes. When appropriate, they'll pair a wine (usually Latin American) to their meal or mix tropical drinks by the pool or grill.These two friends share their inspirations, offer ideas for leftovers, sprinkle a little food history, show off their newest kitchen toy and demystify the handling of "exotic" produce. They emphasize that experimenting with new foods and playing with flavors can be fun and creative. Having already attracted a loyal audience, the two chefs are busy working on their first cookbook based on their popular cooking classes and the TV show.
