The Guam Musicians Initiative is one of Guam's largest art collectives, boasting close to 200 participating individuals, and over 20 various rock/metal/indie/punk/ska/hardcore/hip-hop/ and acoustic bands as well as other performing artists such as filmographers, writers, poets, photographers, designers. Founded in 2008, the Guam Musicians Initiative brought to the underground music scene a united cause. For a few years the only available outlet for rock bands to perform were at radio station sponsored battle of the bands or school fundraisers (many of which have banned hard music since). The Initiative holds events every month at various venues and for various causes. From free all ages shows at the local University campus and in public parks, charity concerts for non-profit groups, bar and club events, as well as free clinics and performances at the many local public and private schools. We hope to offer the various artists and bands on Guam, young and old, the means to play and share their talents in a fun, friendly, and free manner. Music is our passion and we hope you enjoy what we have to offer.
