A selection of videos of fund raising and other events organised by Team Graeme from 2007 onwards. Team Graeme supports research into brain tumours in memory of Graeme Turner who died aged 28 in October 2006 from a brain tumour.

  Graham in his first Blaydon Race 9th June 2011. Rachel had to withdraw after an injured ankle hampered her training. However, she was there near the finishing line to cheer Graham along with both sets of parents.

  Scattering Graeme's Ashes
  
  On the evening of the last night of our trip at Horombo Camp we held a small ceremony where we scattered Graeme's ashes. Rachel read a poem that Graeme's mam Anne had found and Gilly read out a poem that told of how she felt about her dear friend. This video records those poems. Rachel also read a piece she had written based on the Dire Straits song Brothers in Arms that told of the love she had for her brother.   Today we leave Mawenzi Tarn for a walk across the deserted area of The Saddle for Kibo Huts. It's going to be a long day because tonight we set off for the summit after only a few hours rest at Kibo.

  Our second day at Mawenzi Tarn was an acclimatisation day. After a short hike up to 4,600 metres we had the afternoon to relax. The Team left its mark at the site with stone art by the lake.

  Day 3 takes us to Mawenzi Tarn where we will be for 2 nights. It is a spectacular camp site at 4,300 metres.

  Our first day takes us from the hotel to Rongai Gate at an altitude of 1900 m for lunch. After that we head off for our first camp climbing slowly to about 2600 m.

  We wake up after our first night under canvas and have our first spectacular view of the mountain this morning. We are heading up to Kikilewa caves today and face a full day's walking but it is dry and sunny.

  Kilimanjaro Porters Song
  
  A tradition among the porters on Mount Kilimanjaro is that they sing The Kilimanjaro Song to their group at the end of the trip. So after breakfast on our last day our team sang the song for us. Graeme's team of porters sang the song for his group and we have a video of this so when our porters sang it reminded us of Graeme on his own Kilimanjaro trip.
