About this original series

Talkin' Tourism on Florida s Treasure Coast (and Beyond) covers local events and activities, traveling tips and stories, wildlife preservation, fishing, and boating destinations. Due to the nature of the show, occasionally it broadcasts from different destinations from around the globe. Some of the past destinations include various points from the Bahamas and the British Virgin Islands. Weekly guests include those with extended knowledge on the topic of the week. Past guests have included: Betty Bethel, Ministry of Tourism General Manager of Business Development for Grand Bahama; Stuart activist and promoter and STUART MAIN STREET manager, Bernie Malone; film producer, director, and writer Malcolm Boyes; travel industry expert David Carmen; and, Christopher Pollock, general manager of the Bimini Big Game Club, a Guy Harvey Outpost Resort, to name a few. The show is hosted by Gary Guertin and Robin Hicks-Connors. Guertin, is the co-publisher of the Bahamas edition of Coastal Angler Magazine and a noted marina and resort operator, as well as the former chairman of the Martin County Convention and Visitors Bureau. Hicks-Connors, president of RHC Fundraising Consultants and former executive director of the Martin County Historical Society, also sits on the Board of directors for the Martin County Convention and Visitors Bureau representing the Arts and Cultural interest in tourism.
