Sunderland is on the UK Mapping Priorities list, so we had a mapping party over the weekend of 2nd/3rd May 2009 to get some of it mapped! Nearby Durham was mapped quite well already, as was Newcastle so it was time to put Sunderland and its surroundings on the map.

First part of a mapping weekend, mapping Stratford-upon-Avon, birthplace of Shakespeare.
Thirty five people met in a distinctive cafe and mapped the surrounding area.
OpenStreetMappers stay in a farmhouse cottage in a village with an awesome pub and map the roads and footpaths in the surrounding area.
On the 27th and 28th September 2008, mappers met up in Bradford and aimed to complete inside the A6177 ringroad.
