My sweetheart came down from Kenya to vacation on the tropical island of Zanzibar. I rented a big old dirtbike for getting around. We went on a tour of a spice farm, watched a kid build special shoes to climb a coconut tree, toured the ancient palace built for the Sultan in the 1800's and visited Freddie Mercury's tribute restaurant. Renee's grandma's all night memorial dance partyThe event was amazing! I arrived to find them having a catholic ceremony in like four different languages, none of which I could understand, as they celebrated the spirit and life of her Grandma. This shamba (farm/upcountry home) is about ten hours outside of Nairobi in Western Kenya in Luhya (a tribe) land.There was a band and I think they're called the Janmka Heatr Heatr soundsystem.
