Nicole Atkins performs her song 'The Tower' at the legendary Sun Studio in Memphis, TN. The full episode kicks off Season 3 of Sun Studio Sessions in January 2012 on PBS affiliates and public television stations and will roll out across the U.S. throughout the rest of the year. Nicole has appeared on Conan O'Brien and David Letterman and her debut record hit #20 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart. Paste Magazine aptly described Nicole's music as a "unique blend of rootsy-folk and indie rock” and both Time and SPIN magazines named her as best live act at the 2011 SXSW music festival. In this episode, Nicole and band, rock and roll through several songs “Cry, Cry, Cry” and “Vultures.”
