About this original series

Pomcast started in May 2005 as a podcast about Apple in French. Since then it has evolved in a few other languages and I give myself the *right* to interview some Web 2.0 companies, extending Pomcast a little bit beyong Apple some time.

    • Steve Wozniak, Interview with Pomcast in 2007

This is an interview I did with Steve Wozniak in June 2007, just before the WWDC. He speaks a lot about the old days at Apple, about Bill Gates, and the movie Pirates of Silicon Valley, ... A must watch!

    • Pomcast #80: Aaron Hillegass (In Sync)

Needless to say Aaron is some kind of “Steve” for us Developers. For most of us (especially the “younger” ones), he was one of the first introduction to Cocoa & Objective C. Furthermore, I was amazed how nice & gentle he is. Somehow I range this interview with the one I did with Woz.

    • Pomcast #81: Jeff LaMarche

This version IS in sync (Audio) – I previously uploaded 2 versions that weren't in sync, thanks to the failing encoding from heyspread.com Anybody who has started with iPhone Development should have heard this name at least once. If they don’t, sorry, but I don’t know where they live (probably either in the Jungle or totally in the Microsoft community and just boot a Mac mini now and then only for Xcode). I had the pleasure to chat (twice, as you’ll hear at the beginning) with Jeff while I was...

    • #78 WWDC '09 Bash (with the Band Cake)

At this year's Bash Party celebrating the near end of the WWDC we had the Band Cake and we had, as usual, a lot of fun. Enjoy a few minutes of this evening that is famous for showing some people (among other things some Apple Engineers) in a *special* state (read: drunk).

Gleb from BackBlaze (see last video) told me to go see Patrick because he had a very relevant (at least to me) Company. I met with Patrick in San Francisco and we spoke about the 30 second YouTube generation we're all in ;)

    • #77 BackBlaze.com

A few weeks before I made this Interview I took a trial at BackBlaze.com - then didn't upgrade to their paid account. Believe it or not, a few days later, my hard drive had a hardware Failure :( Big times... So the interview with Gleb was even more interesting. From that point of view, I wish it hadn't been that interesting ;) Anyways since that day I took their paid account and aside from my internet connection being sadly not has fast (for upload) as I wish, all is fine, I'm being backed up...

    • #76 Cappuccino.org - 280 North

The first time I heard about Cappuccino (the framework, not the beverrage) it was at the Cocoa Heads at the Apple Store San Francisco during the WWDC '08 week. At least that's what I recall. I saw a very relax Francisco Tolmasky saying that he left Apple because there was nothing better he could have done there then working on the iPhone ;) I got interested in Cappuccino and Objective J and one year later I organized this Interview because I had been playing with Cappuccino myself. It could ha...

    • #75 HaveASec.com

My good friend Romain recommended me to have a chat with Paul & Nafis, co-founders of HaveASec.com to let them explain me what they are all about. Turns out they have a very innovative way of grabing the feedback of your clients or user. Wether you have an iPhone/Android App or just have a Shop (or a Café, in this case), HaveASec is most probably something for you!

    • #74 Tapulous (by Pomcast.com)

Who has'nt heard about Tap Tap Revenge? It's pretty much installed on every single iPhone out there and so when I planned my trip to San Francisco (and after having seen this amazing talk from Jess) one of the first Interview I thought was Tapulous. Check our tour of their offices (starting in the streets of Palo Alto, one of the nicest city I've ever been) and then the Interview with Jessica Kahn, director of Engineering at Tapulous.
