Since I was small I have loved the ocean. Any chance I have had to go to the beach, or out on the water, I have taken. Over the past thirty years the oceans have served as a limitless resource. However this is changing quickly. Pollution, overfishing, climate change and storm run-off have accumulated into a juggernaut of destructive practices. Our planet is systemic, every living thing on this planet is connected to one another, we as a people and as one need to realize that the same reverence we give to our own back yards, needs to be applied globally. This planet is our home and we need to keep it clean. It is with this goal in mind that I created this project. Studio Aquatic has been created as a portal for the imagination. We care for what we love, creativity is very much the same. Initially I was a forecaster, conveying looming doom. Then I was a teacher, an actor, and finally a narrator. Each episode is wound around a story. Each story became an investigation; a look into what I myself love, a look into what I care about. Every explorer upon returning home was required to complete this task. This project is a result of my own travels. It is the wonderment of my experience that I hope will encourage more people to get, or to stay involved with this world's blue sea. For most people the ocean is a mystery. It is an unknown world that needs to be explored, investigated and discovered. I have attempted to do this with the Studio Aquatic. Similar to diving in water; the far off, come into focus as you get closer. In this regard the User-Interface moves from vague, free flowing, decisions, to a specifically focused episode where information is acutely targeted to specific points .
