This was one of the more remarkable explorations by the UEU 314 made in September of 08 during a visit to Chicago and Milwaukee. We stopped just south of Milwaukee to see the secluded Peter Cooper Glue Factory on Lake Michigan. The walk up was pretty amazing for we had to walk through the late summer high grass, up hills and over rocks along the lake. Labor Day, 2008 around 1pm there was a fire on 1124 Bayard, just north of Fountain Park in Saint Louis. It was an abandoned home. The firefighter's busted their ass on this day off!!

I love seeing what had once been. I love to walk the massive ornate brick structures of what had once been the largest brewery in the US and to get up close to see the old wooden brick streets. Or walking up on the catwalk under the wooden roof and looking at the original spotlights in the old Arena thinking of all of the decades of shows and games the lights illuminated.
