Chodron begins a new series of teachings on the grounds and paths, using a text called "A Brief Presentation of the Grounds and Paths of the Perfection Vehicle, Essence of the Ocean of Profound Meaning" by Jetsun Losang Dadrin. She gives a brief explanation of how to listen to the teachings and cut down our arrogance. She gives a short biography of the text's author and starts an explanation of the philosophical context in which this text is embedded, talking about the realms of samsara and the different types of person based on their spiritual capacity.
