Roy Zu-Arets, Israeli born, Los Angeles based, is an award winning composer, pianist and music producer and a pioneer of contemporary music, reinvigorating the classical and jazz genres by introducing ethnic and electronic dance music elements into his original compositions. Zu-Aerts has worked, played and produced albums and live shows for many American, European and Israeli artists including Taking Back Sunday (Gold album), Omar Hakim, David Broza, Kevin Killen, Elliot Gold, Eric Gadd, Patrick Bruel, Francis Lalanne, Rita (Platinum x 4), HaYehudim (Platinum x 2), Gidi Gov and more. Zu-Arets also scored soundtracks for movies and theater like the MacHeads soundtrack, the movie 1906 and off-broadway shows. Zu-Arets was trained is in classical piano theory and music composition, and studied at the Israeli Conservatory of Music in Tel Aviv, The Juilliard School and The Mannes School of Music in NYC with Stanley Wolfe, Carl Schachter and Dr. Robert Cuckson.
