Songs of Freedom

About this original series

Songs of Freedom is an award-winning television program that celebrates the dignity of human struggle. It is a place where artists and activists are invited to share their work and their vision. The first Songs of Freedom cablecast was seen in Manhattan in July of 1996. Since that time more than 300 episodes have been seen in Manhattan, the Bronx, Queens, Staten Island and Brooklyn.The show is now seen on the internet too.
