http://SmokingStrobes.com/hairstudio - It's very useful to have a cotton photo backdrop. Just one example: It helps you to turn a hair saloon into a photo studio when shooting studio photos of hairdos. In this shoot I used to photo backdrops, in white and in gray. http://SmokingStrobes.com/latex_geisha - For lighting reflective surfaces in photography, you might use huge softboxes in order add highlights and reflections. But what if you don't have such softboxes? In this video we are photographing a "Latex Geisha". The reflections in her latex are created by a reflector and a white wall. The whole setup is powered by 3 speedlights. Not much gear needed, so try it out yourself. I wish you good light! -- Michael from http://SmokingStrobes.com

    • #044 Spectacular Concert Photography in a Pub

http://SmokingStrobes.com/ConcertPhotography - Let’s face it: If you show up to the next Rolling Stones concert with your fat boy DSLR and a monster zoom, then you won’t have the slightest chance to get past the bouncers, let alone in front of the stage. To get in, you would need an accreditation from a music magazine, who loves your concert photos and wants you to shoot the Stones for them. Making a music mag loving your photos? Sounds at least easier than knocking down the bouncers. So let’s...

http://SmokingStrobes.com/BacklightWarmup - Why backlight photography? Because you can use a super simple one light setup for backlighting. But hey, why warming up your nude photo model in the first place? If you ask this question, then you have never been nude in front of the lens yourself. Even not in a harmless backlighting set. Time for you to try it out... the one light setup and the nude shoot of yourself. I wish you good light! -- Michael from http://SmokingStrobes.com

http://SmokingStrobes.com/photobusiness - Today’s video might bore you. This photography idea is about a rather normal, unspectacular and well, pretty easy way to start a photography business. It’s about a catalogue photography business. I realized that a lot of viewers are willing to earn some money with photography. However, jumping onto the wedding or microstock train is a bit out of reach for many. Usually I do not film those photo shoots, which make me money in the most lazy way. Not that...
