Cast: Ivy Valentine, Algol Plot: Algol attempts to seduce Ivy to his will but he's in for a very rude awakening when she whips out her snake sword.Producer's notes: I made this short machinima film using Soul Calibur IV's in game camera system between takes during matches. Unfortunately, it isn't the best in-game camera system because it only gives you a small window of opportunity (15-25 secs) to capture a shot during replays. You still have some limited control such as zoom, pan, truck, etc which if used right can give you some fantastic angles and scene composition. I've also had to re-do some of the audio for some of the shots as well by resampling voice and sound effects by isolating each. I have to say this was defintely one of the more difficult gaming videos I have made because I had to shoot multiple takes for every frame in almost every scene in this film. Needless to say, the graphics in the game are simply amazing. It's a shame that some of the most minute details are often overlooked in fighting games because of the players need to focus on the fast paced action that's going on the screen. In case you're wondering, I used the Playstation 3 version. The XBOX 360 version could have easily been used as well since it has identical graphics. Less
