Chosen as one of the top twenty Elvis impersonators in the world by the 'Elvis Presley International Impersonators Association' in 1993 and again in 1994 in Las Vegas,NV 2. Won the Elvis Extravaganza International Impersonators Contest in Memphis, Tennessee in August of 1996. 3. Won five National Regional Elvis contests in Shreveport, Louisiana. 4. He has performed with the four original Jordainairs which was James's greatest achievement in his Elvis Tribute career. 5. James, also performed with James Burton - Elvis's Guitarist from 1969 to 1977 and D. J. Fontana - Elvis Drummer from the 1950's to 1960 . 6. He has headlined for James Burton's Rock N Roll Cafe in Shreveport, La. James L. Wages holds the honor of being the ONLY! Elvis Tribute Artist to do a full show there. 7. James has opened for 38 Special, Lee Greenwood, Pam Tillis, John Anderson and Perfect Strangers. 8.
