In Spore, due to the niggling annoyance of the alliance ships getting in the way of the abduction ray, you may find you occasionally drop items mid-abduction. Due to the way gravity has been implemented in Spore, I accidentally discovered it's possible to put objects into orbit around a planet. p.s. do excuse the initial skipping, it smooths out after a few seconds.
