VSA arts of Texas, a non-profit dedicated to creating a society where people with disabilities learn through participating in and enjoy the arts, and Knowbility, a non-profit that supports people with disabilities through accessible technology each year produces an all access, multimedia sensory experience. Sight.Sound.Soul demonstrates how art can and should be accessible to everyone. This benefit performance extends universal design to art and performance. All proceeds go to VSA arts of Texas and Knowbility.A dynamic performance event on September 12th, 2007 featured Miss Lavelle White and Malford Milligan and included visual artists Kevin Brown and James Abbott to capture the sense of the music on canvas as it was performed. The entire performance was audio described, open captioned and translated to American Sign Language, so everyone can experience this unique artistic performance without limitations.VIP attendees also had access to a special early performance by the John Pointer Band. John Pointer is a renowned multi-instrumentalist and is backed by an award-winning band.http://sightsoundsoul.org
