Philly Beer Week kicked off with the arrival of the official keg mallet, the Hammer of Glory (HOG), at the Independence Visitor's Center with Mayor Michael Nutter tapping the first keg. ;The HOG was transported to the Opening Tap in an over-the-top relay like the Olympic torch to 18 different city beer locations via just about every conceivable means.

Final Projects from the Physical Computing class Spring 2008 at Temple University. Each student explains what their project does and how it works.During the course, students learned about the basics of circuit design, the Basic Stamp circuit board, and the MaxMSP software package. These enabled the class to create projects where computers interact and control the function of real physical objects.
