SharePoint 2010 How To Setup A Content Type Hub

UPDATE: I forgot to mention in my video that you need to explicity set each content type you want syndicated and thus available for other sites to consume/subcribe to. To do this you 1. Go to the content type hub site and navigate to the content type 2. then you will see an option called “Publish Content Type” click on it 3. Then simply click on the radio button for “publish content type” or “republish” In this video I show how to setup a content type hub for publishing and centralizing your custom content types within your organization. Properly planning for content type hub syndication would be a great investment if you plan to use content types organization wide. Centralizing this component will yield great returns when other deptartments find and resuse custom content types already created.
