13.03.11Gareth Lloyd TThe implication of the verses in Eph 4:25 onwards is that Christians are still failing and falling in some significant ways. We shouldn't be surprised by failure! Our hope is in our new legal standing as "righteous" in Christ, not in our law-keeping - that's freeing!!! Through our new nature, as we continue to "learn Christ" we are empowered to grow and change, to put off the old and put on the new. These verses are less a rule book and more a garden guide for new life that needs cultivating and nurturing. Less
