In December last year, Frolic Mills asked me if I'd be interested in making a machinima film of the Miss Virtual World 2008 pageant. I agreed since I thought it would be a good creative project. All the shots used in the film were captured live inworld, in real time, as the event took place - lag and all. There was no opportunity for multiple takes, so everything you see is what actually happened. (For the contestants, please note that the video capture software runs completely independently of Second Life, and doesn't use any scripts or prims inworld that would have contributed to sim lag.) It took me almost a year to complete this film, primarily because other RL and SL responsibilities had to take priority. During that time, Babyhoney Bailey decided to relinquish the Miss Virtual World 2008 crown, and it went to Isabel Brocco, Miss Spain. I've logged many hours working on the film. What kept me inspired throughout was the amazing elegance and graciousness of the twelve women who competed for the crown. This film is dedicated to all of you, from the heart.<3 Serenity
